Simma Soppanam is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Vijay Krishnaraj. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, K. R. Vijaya, Prabhu, and Radha in lead roles. The story follows a communist lawyer named P.Karthikeyan who fights for factory workers against corrupt industrialists. After being betrayed by his close friend and losing his hand, he withdraws from activism. His son Vijay, also a lawyer, takes up the cause and eventually inspires his father to return to court. The film is notable for its intense courtroom sequences and Sivaji Ganesan's powerful performance as a broken man rediscovering his purpose. It was released on 30 June 1984.

Storyline
