Mann Vasanai is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Bharathiraja. The film stars Pandiyan and Revathi in their acting debuts, with Vinu Chakravarthy, Gandhimathi, and Y. Vijaya in supporting roles. Set in the villages of Karisalpatti and its neighboring village, the story follows Veerannan and Muthupechi, whose love is complicated by a family feud over a dowry field and a vengeful village chief. The film is noted for its raw portrayal of rural life, intense emotional conflicts, and Ilaiyaraaja's acclaimed soundtrack. It won the Filmfare Award for Best Film – Tamil and ran for over 200 days in theaters. The film was released on 16 September 1983.

Storyline
Veerannan is a hot-tempered school dropout living with his widowed mother. His niece Muthupechi secretly loves him, but a family feud keeps them apart. When her father makes a foolish bet offering her as a prize, it triggers a chain of violence, pride, and tragedy that destroys everyone involved.
