Mundhanai Mudichu(1983)
Mundhanai Mudichu (transl. Saree Knot) is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by K. Bhagyaraj. The film stars Bhagyaraj as a widowed school teacher and Urvashi in her Tamil debut as a mischievous village girl. The story follows Parimalam, who falls in love with the teacher and falsely accuses him of having sex with her to force him into marriage. The teacher marries her but refuses to consummate the union, leading to a battle of wills. The film explores themes of love, sacrifice, and the fear of stepmothers. It was produced by AVM Productions and features music by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was a major commercial success, running for over 25 weeks and winning the Cinema Express Award for Best Film – Tamil. It was released on 22 July 1983.

Storyline
A mischievous village girl named Parimalam falls in love with a widowed teacher who is raising his infant son alone. When he refuses to marry her, she falsely accuses him of having sex with her. The panchayat forces them to marry, but the teacher punishes her by refusing to treat her as his wife. Parimalam must find a way to win his love and trust.
