Raja Paarvai (1981) is a Tamil-language romance film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao. It stars Kamal Haasan as Raghu, a blind violinist, and Madhavi as Nancy, a journalist. The story follows their love affair despite opposition from Nancy's wealthy father. Kamal Haasan wrote the screenplay and produced the film under his Haasan Brothers banner. The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu as Amavasya Chandrudu. Ilaiyaraaja composed the soundtrack, which includes the popular song 'Andhi Mazhai.' The film received critical acclaim but failed at the box office. Kamal Haasan won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actor for his performance. The film later gained cult status in Tamil cinema. It was released on 10 April 1981.

Storyline
