Dharmaraja(1980)
Dharmaraja is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language legal drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan as the title character, with K. R. Vijaya, K. Balaji, and Major Sundarrajan in supporting roles. The story follows an honest judge who must preside over the trial of his own son, who has committed a crime in Japan. The film explores the conflict between familial love and judicial duty. Notable for being K. Balaji's final negative role, the film was shot extensively in Japan. The soundtrack, composed by M. S. Viswanathan with lyrics by Kannadasan, includes the popular song 'Vanavillai Polirukkum'. Dharmaraja was released on 26 April 1980 and ran for over 100 days in theatres.

Storyline
