Vattathukkul Chadhuram(1978)
Vattathukkul Chadhuram is a 1978 Indian Tamil-language female buddy film directed by S. P. Muthuraman and written by Panchu Arunachalam. It stars Latha, Sumithra, Srikanth, and Sarath Babu. Based on a novel by Maharishi, the story follows two childhood friends, Anu and Malathy, who move to Chennai to pursue their dreams. Anu works as a club dancer to fund Malathy's education, but their friendship is tested when Malathy's fiancé objects to Anu's profession. The film is notable for its focus on female friendship over romance, a rare theme in 1970s Tamil cinema. Latha won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil for her performance. The music was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was released on 29 July 1978.

Storyline
