Oru Oodhappu Kan Simittugiradhu is a 1976 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama directed by S. P. Muthuraman. The film stars Kamal Haasan and Sujatha in lead roles. It is based on a novel of the same name by Pushpa Thangadurai. The story follows Ravi, who accidentally kills his friend while protecting his lover Radha, and is sentenced to life imprisonment. After six years, he is released and finds Radha married to another man. The film explores the emotional turmoil of a love that cannot be fulfilled. It was praised for its performances and direction. Muthuraman won the Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil, and Haasan won Best Actor – Tamil. The film was released on 4 June 1976.

Storyline
Ravi loves his neighbor Radha. His friend tries to molest her, and Ravi accidentally kills him. Ravi is sent to prison for life. Years later, he is released and returns home. He finds Radha married to another man. He cannot forget her. He asks her for one day together to fulfill his dreams. Radha must choose between her husband and her first love.
