Paruva Kaalam(1974)
Paruva Kaalam is a 1974 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by Jos A.N. Fernando. The cast includes Roja Ramani, Srikanth, Kamal Haasan, Nagesh, and Prameela. The story follows Shantha, a young village woman who is raped and must find her attacker. The film explores themes of justice, victim blaming, and survival in a conservative society. It is a remake of the 1972 Malayalam film Chemparathy. The soundtrack was composed by G. Devarajan with lyrics by Pulamaipithan and Poovai Senguttavan. The film was produced by Jupiter Art Movies and shot in black-and-white. It received a U certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification with no cuts. Paruva Kaalam was released on 9 February 1974.

Storyline
