Enga Mama(1970)
Enga Mama is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan, Jayalalithaa, and Vennira Aadai Nirmala in lead roles. The story follows Koteeswaran, an abandoned child who grows up to run an orphanage for 12 children in a mortgaged house. He saves a suicidal woman named Seetha and falls in love with her. The film is a remake of the 1968 Hindi film Brahmachari. It was a commercial success, running for over 100 days in theatres. The music by M. S. Viswanathan became popular. The film was released on 14 January 1970 during the Pongal festival.

Storyline
Koteeswaran runs a small orphanage for 12 children in a mortgaged house. He struggles to keep them fed and safe. When he saves a young woman from suicide, his life changes forever. He must protect her from her greedy relatives while fighting to keep his home and family together.
