Penn Deivam(1970)
Penn Deivam is a 1970 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by M. A. Thirumugam and produced by Sandow M. M. A. Chinnappa Thevar. The cast includes Jaishankar, Padmini, Lakshmi, R. Muthuraman, and Major Sundarrajan. The story follows Ponnamma, a mother abandoned by her greedy husband, who raises her daughter alone. Years later, the husband returns to claim the daughter, forcing Ponnamma to fight for her family. The film explores themes of maternal sacrifice, greed, and justice. It was remade in Telugu as Inti Gouravam. The music was composed by V. Kumar. The film released on 22 January 1970.
