Ayiram Poi(1969)
Ayiram Poi is a 1969 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by Muktha Srinivasan and written by Cho Ramaswamy. The lead cast includes Jaishankar, Vanisri, Cho, and Manorama. The story follows Ravi, a young man who tells a series of lies to marry Malathi, whose father opposes the match due to a family feud. The film is based on Cho's novel Yaaro Ivar Yaaro, which was serialised in Kalki magazine. Its title references a Tamil proverb about telling a thousand lies to make a marriage work. The music was composed by V. Kumar with lyrics by Kannadasan. The film received mixed reviews but was noted for its lack of vulgarity. It was released on 11 July 1969.

Storyline
Ravi loves Malathi, but her father Chinna Durai hates Ravi's family and blocks their marriage. To win Malathi's hand, Ravi tells a series of clever lies. With help from his friend Muthu, he creates fake identities and schemes. The question is whether love can survive a thousand lies.
