Uyirmel Asai(1967)
Uyirmel Asai is a 1967 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by C. P. Jambulingham and produced by Ayyappan Productions. The film stars Jaishankar, L. Vijayalakshmi, and K. B. Sundarambal in lead roles. The story follows a poor father battling a deadly illness while struggling to support his family. His desperation leads him to make dangerous choices that threaten to destroy everything he loves. The screenplay was written by T. N. Balu with cinematography by Karnan. The music, composed by S. M. Subbaiah Naidu with lyrics by Kannadasan, features a notable lullaby performed by K. B. Sundarambal. The film received negative reviews from critics, with Kalki magazine panning it and later writers calling it mediocre. Its only praised element was the child song combining Kannadasan's verse and Sundarambal's voice. The film was released in March 1967.

Storyline
