Selvam is a 1966 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by K. S. Gopalakrishnan. The film stars Sivaji Ganesan as the superstitious Selvam and K. R. Vijaya as the rational Valli. The story follows a wealthy young man who allows horoscopes to control his life and his romance with a woman who challenges his beliefs. The film ridicules blind faith in astrology and superstition through humour and emotional moments. It was produced by actor V. K. Ramasamy and features music by K. V. Mahadevan.
