Her sister-in-law Vanaja manipulates her into abandoning an elopement plan. This decision leads to heartbreak and mistrust between the lovers. The film features music composed by K. V. Mahadevan with lyrics by Kannadasan and A. Maruthakasi. It received an 'above average' rating from critics, who praised the direction and performances but noted commercial compromises. Storyline
