Neengadha Ninaivu(1963)
Neengadha Ninaivu is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by W. R. Subba Rao. The film stars S. S. Rajendran, Kalyan Kumar, C. R. Vijayakumari, and Pushpalatha in lead roles. It is a remake of the 1951 Hindi film Deedar. The story follows a poor boy who loses his eyesight and later sacrifices his vision again for his childhood love. The music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan, with lyrics by Vaali, Kannadasan, and A. Maruthakasi. The song 'Chinnagnchiru Malarai Maranduvidaathe' became a popular hit. Film historian Randor Guy praised the performances of S. S. Rajendran and Kalyankumar. The film was released on 15 March 1963.

Storyline
A poor boy named Kumar loses his eyesight in an accident. He sings on the streets with a woman who loves him. A surgeon restores his vision. Kumar discovers the surgeon is in love with his childhood sweetheart Mala. To protect his friend's happiness, Kumar blinds himself again and returns to the streets.
