Nenjam Marappathillai(1963)
Nenjam Marappathillai is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language paranormal romance film written and directed by C. V. Sridhar. The film stars Kalyan Kumar and Devika in lead roles, with M. N. Nambiar, S. V. Sahasranamam, Nagesh, Padmini Priyadarshini, and Manorama in supporting roles. The story follows a college student who, while exploring a dilapidated villa, remembers his past life as a Zamindar's son who died after his low-caste lover was murdered by his father. The film was inspired by real news reports of people claiming to remember past lives. It received positive reviews from critics but did not perform well at the box office, later attaining cult status in Tamil cinema. The film was released on 2 August 1963.

Storyline
A college student named Anand visits his friend's village and hears a scream from a locked room. Curious, he explores a haunted villa and faints. When he wakes up, he remembers his past life as a Zamindar's son who loved a low-caste girl. His father killed the girl and locked him away. Now reborn, Anand must protect the girl's reincarnation from the same vengeful father.
