Azhagu Nila (transl. Beautiful Moon) is a 1962 Indian Tamil-language drama film directed by S. Ragavan and produced by Raagavan Productions. The film stars Kalyan Kumar and Malini in lead roles, with R. Muthuraman, K. A. Thangavelu, and V. K. Ramasamy in supporting parts. Set in a post-independence Tamil village, the story follows a poor farmer who loses his love to a wealthy rival and descends into alcoholism before finding the strength to fight back. The film is notable for its melancholic tone and its popular soundtrack composed by K. V. Mahadevan, featuring hits like 'Moongil Marakaattinile'. Storyline
