Arasilangkumari(1961)
Arasilankumari is a 1961 Indian Tamil-language historical adventure film directed by A. S. A. Sami and A. Kasilingam. It stars M. G. Ramachandran, Padmini, and Rajasulochana in lead roles. The story follows Arivazhagan, whose sister Anbukarasi marries the commander-in-chief Vetrivelan, who hides his true identity. After the wedding, Vetrivelan betrays his wife and plots against the royal family. The film is an adaptation of the 1952 film Scaramouche, which was based on Rafael Sabatini's novel. It was the final production of Jupiter Pictures and took five years to complete. Despite its star cast, the film failed commercially. It was released on 1 January 1961.

Storyline
Arivazhagan's sister Anbukarasi falls in love with Vetrivelan, the commander-in-chief. Vetrivelan hides his identity and marries her. After the wedding, Arivazhagan leaves on a mission. Vetrivelan deserts his wife and child and plots to destroy the royal family. Arivazhagan returns to stop him, but Anbukarasi must choose between her brother and her husband.
