Dost(1989)
Dost is a 1989 Hindi family drama film directed by K. Murali Mohana Rao. It stars Mithun Chakraborty as Raja, a forest officer, alongside Amala Akkineni as Pooja. The story follows Raja's bond with his animal friends — an elephant, a monkey, and a parrot — as he fights illegal poachers and smugglers. The film features a soundtrack composed by R. D. Burman with lyrics by Indeevar. Despite a theatrical release on 4 August 1989, the film failed commercially at the box office.

Storyline
Forest officer Raja lives in a jungle with his animal friends. Evil poachers Sher Singh and Nagendra murder a fellow officer and threaten the forest. Raja must stop them while protecting his love Pooja and his family from their violent revenge.
