Trivia

  • This was the only Hindi film directed by the popular Tamil filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj, who also directed the original Tamil version.
  • The film's plot is a remake of Bhagyaraj's own 1982 Tamil film 'Antham', which also starred him in the lead role.
  • Actor Sridevi, who plays the female lead, was at the peak of her career and shot for this film simultaneously with many other big hits.
  • A key action sequence involving a helicopter was considered a major and expensive technical feat for its time in Hindi cinema.
  • The film's climax, pitting a father against his policeman son, drew comparisons to the Hollywood film 'The Enforcer' from 1976.
  • Despite its star cast, the film did not perform well commercially, overshadowed by other major releases that year.
  • The soundtrack, composed by Bappi Lahari, included the hit song 'Aakhree Raasta' sung by Kishore Kumar.
