Trivia

  • This was the first horror film directed solely by Tulsi Ramsay without his brother Shyam Ramsay, though they often worked together.
  • The film's title 'Saboot' means 'Evidence' in Hindi, focusing on a supernatural revenge plot.
  • Actor Prem Chopra, known for playing villains, here played a character who hires killers instead of committing murder himself.
  • The movie was part of a wave of low-budget horror films in the early 1980s that relied more on atmosphere than special effects.
  • It featured a train murder scene, a common suspense setting in Hindi cinema of that era.
  • The soundtrack, composed by Bappi Lahiri, included the song 'Mera Naam Aankhen' sung by Asha Bhosle.
  • Despite being a horror film, it performed averagely at the box office compared to the Ramsay brothers' bigger hits.
