• Prem Chopra and Om Shivpuri first shared screen space in Maqsad (1984) because the director, K. Bapaiah, needed two reliable villains who could play off each other without ego clashes. Prem was the loud, theatrical bad guy; Om was the quiet, scheming one. Bapaiah reportedly told them: 'You two don't act together — you complete each other's threats.'
• In Clerk (1989), Prem Chopra and Om Shivpuri played a corrupt politician and a shady lawyer. Prem would deliver his lines at full volume, then deliberately pause — leaving Om to fill the silence with a slow, cold stare. That stare became the scene's punchline. The director, Manoj Kumar, later said Om's silence made Prem's shouting look desperate.
• During the shoot of Santosh (1989), Prem Chopra and Om Shivpuri shared a hotel room in Ooty because the production budget was so tight. Prem later recalled that Om would rehearse his lines in his sleep — and Prem would wake him up by shouting his own dialogue back. They called it 'method acting by accident.'
