Santosh Subramaniam is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by M. Raja. The film stars Jayam Ravi as Santosh and Genelia D'Souza as Hasini, with Prakash Raj, Geetha, and Sayaji Shinde in supporting roles. It is a remake of the Telugu film Bommarillu (2006). The story follows a young man struggling with his father's overprotective love while trying to pursue his own dreams and marry the woman he loves. The film was praised for its performances, especially by Prakash Raj and Genelia D'Souza. It won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Film (Third Prize) and was a commercial success, running for over 100 days in theaters. Storyline
