• Santhanam and Srinath first teamed up because Santhanam was producing his own films and needed a reliable co-star. He handpicked Srinath for 'Inga Enna Solluthu' (2014) after seeing his comic timing in smaller roles — no auditions, just a direct call.
• In 'Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham' (2014), Santhanam played the straight man while Srinath did all the physical comedy. Srinath later said Santhanam deliberately held back his own jokes to give him space to shine — a rare move from a lead comedian.
• Their third film 'Mappilai Vinayagar' (2015) was the first Tamil film where both leads were comedians with no conventional hero. It didn't set the box office on fire, but it directly inspired smaller-budget double-act comedies like 'Lollu' and 'Kalakalappu 2'.
