Nayagan(2008)
Nayagan is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language action film directed by Saravana Sakthi. The film stars J. K. Rithesh, Ramana, Sangeetha Krish, Keerthi Chawla, and Anandaraj. It follows Dr. Sandhya Viswanath, who is kidnapped by a gang and uses a broken phone to call a stranger for help. The stranger, Sakthi, is a young man on the run after eloping with his girlfriend. The film is a direct remake of the Tamil film Vegam (2007), which itself was an uncredited remake of the American film Cellular (2004). Nayagan was not a commercial success, but J. K. Rithesh gained attention due to the film's extensive marketing. The music was composed by Mariya Manohar. The film was released on 22 August 2008.

Storyline
Dr. Sandhya Viswanath is kidnapped from her home by a violent gang. They smash her phone, but she repairs it and makes random calls. One call reaches Sakthi, a young man running away with his girlfriend. Sakthi must decide whether to help a stranger or focus on his own problems. Time is running out for Sandhya.
