Dhanam(2008)
Dhanam is a 2008 Tamil-language drama film written and directed by G. Shiva. The film stars Sangeetha in the title role and Prem as Ananth. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Ashish Vidyarthi, Manobala, Karunas, and Girish Karnad appear in supporting roles. The story follows Dhanam, a prostitute in Hyderabad, who marries a Brahmin student but faces betrayal from his family. After her baby is murdered by her in-laws, she takes revenge by poisoning them. The film is notable for its bold subject matter and Sangeetha's acclaimed performance. Ilaiyaraaja composed the score and soundtrack. The film was launched at Prasad Sound Studios on 1 December 2006.
