Trivia
- The film's title 'Pori' means 'warrior' in Tamil, reflecting the protagonist's fight against land mafia.
- Director Subramaniam Siva also wrote the screenplay, drawing inspiration from real-life property fraud cases reported in Chennai.
- Actor Jeeva performed many of his own stunts in the action sequences to make them look more realistic.
- The song 'Kadhal Vandhale' was shot in just one day at a Chennai college to keep production costs low.
- This was one of the last films of veteran comedian Nagesh, who played Jeeva's father in a serious role.
- The movie faced delays in release due to financial issues and changes in the production team.
- Despite being an action drama, the film included subtle references to social reformer Periyar through the bookshop's name.
