Agaram(2007)
Agaram is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by T. Nagarajan. The film stars Nandaa as Thiru, Archana as Preethi, and Biju Menon as the antagonist Varma. It follows a young Airtel employee who moves into a new house in Tuticorin with his mother, grandmother, and sister after his father's death. His life turns into a nightmare when he argues with the brother of a waterfront mafia don during local elections. The don swears to kill him but grants him a four-day reprieve until the elections end. The film features a soundtrack by Yuvan Shankar Raja and supporting performances by Vivek, Seetha, and Raj Kapoor. Despite being announced shortly after Nandaa's debut in 2002, its release was delayed and it eventually failed at the box office. Critics noted the credible plot but criticized the predictable and formulaic treatment. The film's title references the first letter of the Tamil alphabet, symbolizing a new beginning.
