• Vivek was already a busy comedian when Raj Kapoor was cast as the lead in 'Sudhandhiram' (2000). But Raj insisted on having Vivek in the film — he told the director that Vivek's timing would save the film's weak script. It didn't save the ratings, but it started their partnership.
• In 'Agaram' (2007), Raj Kapoor played a deaf-mute character. Vivek had no spoken lines opposite him either — they communicated entirely through gestures and expressions. Vivek later said that working without words forced him to sharpen his physical comedy, and Raj matched him beat for beat.
• During the shoot of 'Sandai' (2008), Vivek and Raj Kapoor shared a room in a small lodge near the set.
