Maayavi is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language black comedy film directed by Singampuli. The film stars Suriya as a conman and Jyothika as a fictional version of herself. The plot follows a small-time thief who kidnaps a famous actress for revenge. The story is set in Mahabalipuram and Chennai. The film features a cameo appearance by actor Vijayakanth. The soundtrack was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. Maayavi is loosely based on Irving Wallace's novel The Fan Club. The film received mixed reviews, with critics praising the first half's comedy but noting the second half's slow pace. It was produced by director Bala as his first production venture.

Storyline
A carefree conman and tour guide named Balayya is humiliated by a famous actress. He decides to kidnap her to get revenge. But during her captivity, the actress starts to see the good in him. Their hate slowly turns into an unexpected bond.
