
Priyasakhi(2005)
Priyasakhi is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by K. S. Adhiyaman. The film stars Madhavan as Sandhana Krishnan and Sadha as Priya, with Aishwarya, Ramesh Khanna, Manobala, and Kovai Sarala in supporting roles. The story follows a traditional joint family man who tricks a modern model into marrying him by pretending to be her ideal partner. Their marriage collapses under the weight of clashing values, leading to a court battle over pregnancy and custody. The film is a Tamil remake of the delayed Bollywood film Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, also directed by Adhiyaman. Priyasakhi made history in November 2005 as the first Indian film dubbed into the Zulu language for South African audiences. The film was released on 22 July 2005 and received mixed reviews for its regressive themes but strong lead performances.

Storyline
Sakhi works at a car company and lives with his traditional joint family. He falls for model Priya and uses her diary to trick her into marriage. But their different backgrounds cause constant fights. When Priya becomes pregnant, their conflict explodes into a courtroom battle over the baby's future.
