Thiruda Thirudi is a 2003 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant Subramaniam Siva. The film stars Dhanush as Vasudevan and Chaya Singh as Vijayalakshmi, with Karunas, Manikka Vinayagam, and Krishna in supporting roles. The story follows Vasu, an irresponsible young man who moves to Chennai to prove himself, and Viji, a career-oriented woman who becomes his neighbour and love interest. The film was praised for its fast-paced screenplay, youthful dialogue, and Dhanush's performance. It became the second highest-grossing Tamil film of 2003 and was remade in Telugu and Kannada. The soundtrack, composed by Dhina, features the hit song 'Manmadha Raasa'. The film was released on 5 September 2003.

Storyline
Vasu is a lazy young man who cannot be trusted by anyone. After a road accident brings him together with Viji, a smart and ambitious woman, they become enemies. When both move to Chennai and end up as neighbours, their constant fighting slowly turns into love. But Vasu's family problems threaten to tear them apart forever.
