University is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language romance film directed by Praghadish. The film stars Jeevan in his acting debut and Gajala in her Tamil debut. The story follows a shy college student named Gandhi who connects with a girl named Shanmathi through a wrong number phone call. Their relationship develops over the phone while they remain strangers in real life. The film features Vivek in a supporting comedic role and Raghuvaran as a psychology professor. The soundtrack was composed by Ramesh Vinayakam with lyrics by Vairamuthu. University received mixed critical reviews and was not a commercial success at the box office.

Storyline
A painfully shy college student named Gandhi calls a random phone number and ends up saving a girl named Shanmathi from suicide. They fall in love over the phone, but Shanmathi has no idea that the voice she loves belongs to the awkward boy she despises in college. Gandhi must find the courage to reveal his true identity before she marries the wrong man.
