Citizen is a 2001 Indian Tamil-language political action thriller film written and directed by Saravana Subbiah and produced by S. S. Chakravarthy. The film stars Ajith Kumar in a dual lead role, with Meena, Vasundhara Das, and Nagma in supporting roles. The story follows a man named Arivanandam who, after surviving a massacre that wiped out his entire village, adopts multiple identities to kidnap and expose corrupt government officials. The film features cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran and a score by Deva. Citizen was noted for Ajith Kumar's performance and its bold anti-corruption narrative. Storyline
A quiet mechanic named Abdullah is actually a man seeking revenge. Years ago, four corrupt officials wiped out his entire village. Now, as the masked vigilante Citizen, he kidnaps them one by one. He forces them to face their crimes in open court. The CBI chases him, but Citizen has a plan that will change everything.
