
Indira(1995)
Indira is a 1995 Indian Tamil-language drama film co-written and directed by Suhasini Maniratnam. The film stars Arvind Swamy as Thiyagu and Anu Hasan as Indira, with Nassar, Radha Ravi, and Ashwini in supporting roles. The story is set in the village of Maranur, where two communities are divided by caste and led by rival leaders Sethupathy and Kotamarayar. When a young couple from opposite sides falls in love, the conflict escalates, revealing a web of corruption and greed. The film features a soundtrack composed by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by Santosh Sivan. Indira won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Cinematographer and a Special Jury Award. It was released in 1995 and is available on YouTube with English subtitles.

Storyline
