• Nassar personally recommended Arvind Swamy for the lead in Indira (1995) after the director Suhasini was struggling to cast the male lead. Nassar had already been cast in a supporting role and told Suhasini, 'There's this new guy with incredible eyes — trust me.' That film became Arvind's breakout.
• In Sapnay (1997), Nassar played the strict father to Arvind Swamy's romantic lead. Off-camera, Nassar actually coached Arvind on how to deliver the emotional confrontation scenes — he'd pull him aside between takes and say, 'Don't act angry. Act hurt.' Arvind later said that note changed how he approached every dramatic scene after that.
