Walter Vetrivel is a 1993 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by P. Vasu. The film stars Sathyaraj as the honest IPS officer Walter Vetrivel, with Sukanya and Ranjitha in lead roles. The story follows a disciplined police officer who discovers his younger brother is involved in criminal activities, including a rape attempt and murder. The film features supporting performances from Vijayakumar, Goundamani, Nassar, and Gandhimathi. It was a major commercial success, running for over 200 days in theatres and winning Sathyaraj the Cinema Express Award for Best Actor – Tamil. The film was released on 14 January 1993 and was later remade in Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada.

Storyline
Walter Vetrivel is an honest IPS officer who falls in love with a dancer named Sumathi. When Sumathi witnesses a gang filming a rape attempt, she is attacked and goes blind. Walter marries her anyway, but his younger brother Sundar is secretly working with the criminals. Sundar's betrayal leads to the death of Walter's child and forces Walter to choose between family and justice.
