• Nassar and Vijayakumar first shared screen space in Poovizhi Raja (1988), but the real spark came when director K. S. Ravikumar paired them again in Kilipetchu Ketkava (1993). That film turned both into a reliable villain-hero combo for the director's later projects.
• In Adharmam (1994), Vijayakumar played the ruthless antagonist while Nassar was the morally conflicted lead. Their scenes together worked because Vijayakumar set a cold, deliberate pace — and Nassar matched it with nervous energy, making every confrontation feel like a ticking bomb.
• Their pairing in Jodi (1999) — where Nassar played a corrupt cop and Vijayakumar a righteous father — directly inspired the dynamic for the 2003 hit Saamy. Director Hari has admitted he studied their Jodi scenes to build the villain-hero tension in that film.
