The story follows a poor washerman's brother who falls in love with a wealthy landlord's daughter, facing opposition due to class differences and a dowry demand. Set in a rural Tamil village, the film explores themes of love, greed, and social inequality. The music was composed by Soundaryan with vocals by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam and K. S. Chithra. Storyline
