Chithirai Pookal(1991)
Chithirai Pookkal is a 1991 Tamil-language romance film directed by Kanmani Subbu. The film stars newcomers Jayanthkumar and Vinodhini in lead roles, with R. Sarathkumar, Radha Ravi, and Charle in supporting parts. The story follows Hari and Bharathi, two young people who fall in love while on holiday in Ooty but face opposition from their families. When they elope and attempt suicide, a retired military officer named Johnson David rescues them. The film was shot in Munnar and Ooty. It received a mixed review from Kalki magazine, which called it lightweight humor. The film failed at the box office, causing losses for its producer Thamizhmani. It was released on 23 February 1991.

Storyline
