Kantri is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies. The film stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr. in the lead role, alongside Hansika Motwani, Tanishaa, Prakash Raj, and Ashish Vidyarthi. The story follows Kranthi, an orphan who joins the underworld to earn money for his orphanage but secretly plans to avenge his parents' murder. He rises quickly in the crime empire of PR, a ruthless crime lord. The film features a 3D animated character based on N. T. Rama Rao Jr., a first for Indian cinema. Kantri received positive reviews and performed well at the box office. It was released on 9 May 2008.
