Desamuduru is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language romantic action comedy film directed by Puri Jagannadh. It stars Allu Arjun as Bala Govind, a program director at Maa TV, and Hansika Motwani as Vaishali, a young woman hiding as a sannyasin. The supporting cast includes Pradeep Rawat as the villain Tambi Durai, Ali as Shankar, and Subbaraju as Murugesan. The story follows Bala as he falls in love with Vaishali during a work trip to Kullu Manali. He must rescue her from Tambi Durai, a smuggler who killed her parents. The film was produced by DVV Danayya under Universal Media. It was a commercial success, running for over 365 days in theaters. It was the third highest-grossing Telugu film of 2007. The soundtrack was composed by Chakri. The film was released on 12 January 2007.

Storyline
Bala Govind is a hot-headed TV program director who fights injustice. After beating up a dangerous smuggler's son, he is sent to Kullu Manali for a travel shoot. There he meets Vaishali, a beautiful sannyasin. He falls in love with her. But Vaishali is hiding from the smuggler who killed her parents. Bala must fight to save her and win her love.
