Shankar Dada MBBS(2004)
Shankar Dada M.B.B.S. is a 2004 Indian Telugu-language action comedy film directed by Jayanth C. Paranjee. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Sonali Bendre, Srikanth, Girish Karnad, and Paresh Rawal. It is a remake of the Hindi film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. (2003). The story follows Shankar Dada, a Hyderabad crime don who pretends to be a doctor to please his parents. After his lie is exposed, he decides to genuinely earn a medical degree. The film blends comedy with emotional drama as Shankar uses his street-smart compassion to transform a cold hospital. Chiranjeevi and Srikanth won Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively. The film was a commercial success, completing a 100-day theatrical run. It was re-released in 4K resolution on 4 November 2023.

Storyline
Shankar Dada is a local goon in Hyderabad. His father wants him to be a doctor, so he fakes a hospital. When the lie is exposed, his parents are heartbroken. Shankar decides to become a real doctor to win back their respect. He cheats his way into medical college, where the dean hates him. But Shankar's kindness and hugs change everyone around him.
