• Chiranjeevi personally called Paresh Rawal after watching his performance in the Hindi film 'Sadak' (1991). He told Rawal he wanted a villain with that same cold, quiet menace for 'The Gentleman' (1994). Rawal said yes without reading the script.
• In 'Rikshavodu' (1995), Chiranjeevi deliberately slowed down his dialogue delivery in their scenes together. He told Rawal on set that his natural rhythm was too fast for a comedy villain — so he let Rawal set the pace, then reacted. That push-and-pull made their exchanges feel like a real argument.
• Their fourth film together, 'Shankar Dada MBBS' (2004), was the first Telugu remake of a Bollywood hit ('Munna Bhai MBBS'). Chiranjeevi insisted on keeping Paresh Rawal in the same role he played in the original — making Rawal the only actor to play the same character in both the Hindi and Telugu versions.
• Paresh Rawal doesn't speak Telugu. On every single one of their four films, Chiranjeevi would translate his own lines into Hindi or English right before the take, so Rawal knew exactly when to react. They never used a translator on set.
