Devi Putrudu(2001)
Devi Putrudu is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language fantasy drama film co-written and directed by Kodi Ramakrishna. It stars Venkatesh in a dual role as Balaram and Baburao, alongside Soundarya and Anjala Zaveri. The story follows an archaeologist who discovers an ancient box near the sunken city of Dwaraka, setting off a conflict with foreign mercenaries seeking its mystical power. A mysterious girl named Paapa with supernatural abilities guides the present-day hero. The film is notable for its ambitious visual effects and was praised by Idlebrain for its CGI work. Times of India later included it in a list of six Telugu films with awe-inspiring visual effects. It was released on 14 January 2001 and was dubbed into Tamil as Paapa and Hindi as Aaj Ka Deviputra.

Storyline
A small-time thief named Baburao gets caught up in an ancient mystery when he meets a magical girl named Paapa. He learns that his lookalike, an archaeologist named Balaram, was killed while protecting a powerful box from the sea near Dwaraka. Baburao must fight foreign mercenaries to recover the box and stop its destructive power.
