• Sumanth and Venu Madhav first shared screen space in Yuvakudu (2000), but the pairing almost didn't happen — Venu was still a struggling comedian and Sumanth, a debut hero, personally insisted the director cast him after seeing his stage act.
• In Snehamante Idera (2001), Venu Madhav’s rapid-fire improvisations kept Sumanth on his toes — Sumanth later said he had to stay sharp because Venu would throw in new punchlines mid-scene, forcing him to react genuinely.
• Their best-reviewed film together, Gowri (2004), worked because they played off each other’s energy: Sumanth anchored the emotional beats while Venu provided the comic relief, but they swapped roles in the climax — Venu turned serious and Sumanth cracked the jokes.
