→Trivia
- This was the only Telugu film where veteran Bollywood villain Amrish Puri played dual roles as twin brothers.
- The film's title 'Ashwamedham' refers to an ancient Vedic horse sacrifice ritual, symbolizing the hero's quest for justice.
- Director K. Raghavendra Rao reused the same basic plot from his earlier 1990 Hindi film 'Aaj Ka Arjun', but with significant changes for the Telugu audience.
- A real Indian Air Force helicopter was used for the filming of the key action sequence where the hero, a pilot, makes a dramatic landing.
- The movie marked one of the last major screen pairings of veteran actor Shobhan Babu and rising star Nandamuri Balakrishna.
- Despite being an action film, it featured a hit romantic duet 'Chandamama Raave' shot in picturesque Ooty, which became popular at the time.
- The film's climax involving multiple coordinated bomb blasts was considered a large-scale and expensive sequence for Telugu cinema in the early 90s.
