• Nagma was the one who insisted Brahmanandam be cast in 'Major Chandrakanth' (1993). She had seen his stage work and told the director she wouldn't do the film without him. That film became their first together.
• In 'Varasudu' (1993), Brahmanandam would deliberately flub his lines to make Nagma break character. She'd then improvise a comeback, and the director kept those takes because the tension felt real. That's why their scenes crackle — he set traps, she escaped them.
• Their pairing in 'Mugguru Monagallu' (1994) directly inspired the comedy track in the 2005 blockbuster 'Jai Chiranjeeva'. The writer admitted he rewatched their scenes to study how a straight-faced heroine and a manic comedian could share screen time without one overpowering the other.
• On the sets of 'Super Police' (1994), Nagma and Brahmanandam had a running bet: whoever laughed first during a scene had to buy lunch for the entire unit. Brahmanandam lost 12 times in a row. He still jokes he funded half the crew's meals that year.
• Brahmanandam once said in a 2015 interview: 'Nagma is the only heroine who never complained when I went overboard. She'd just stare at me with those big eyes and I'd shrink back. She directed me better than the director did.'
