Rathri(1992)
Rathri (also known as Raat in Hindi) is a 1992 Indian supernatural horror-drama film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. The film stars Revathi in the lead role, with Chinna, Rohini Hattangadi, Akash Khurana, and Om Puri in supporting roles. The story follows a family that moves into a haunted house, where a vengeful spirit possesses the daughter Mini. The ghost is the spirit of a murdered woman buried under the basement floor. The film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi languages. It was the final Indian film to be shot on 70 mm film. The background score was composed by Mani Sharma in his debut as a music composer. The film received positive reviews for its technical quality and atmospheric horror. It is credited with changing the landscape of Indian horror cinema.

Storyline
A family of four moves into a new house that hides a dark secret. Their daughter Mini begins acting strange after a cat is killed in the driveway. Soon, a vengeful ghost possesses Mini and starts killing people around her. The family must choose between science and faith to save their daughter before the spirit destroys them all.
