• On the sets of 'Izzat Ki Roti' (1993), Kharbanda reportedly helped Pappu rehearse his lines. Pappu had a habit of forgetting his Hindi dialogues under pressure, and Kharbanda would quietly feed him cues between takes.
• K. Pappu was a B-movie regular who mostly played villains. Kulbhushan Kharbanda was the bigger name. The director of 'Mera Muqaddar' (1988) paired them specifically to give the film a clash of acting styles — Kharbanda's theatrical intensity vs. Pappu's raw, streetwise menace.
• In 'Ayee Milan Ki Raat' (1991), Kharbanda played the calm, calculating antagonist while Pappu played the hot-headed brute. They never shared a single dialogue scene — their conflict was shown through parallel cuts, each reacting to the other's off-screen presence.
